Reach Your Champions Destiny
Yes, even in business, we can strive to be champions.
But, let’s take a closer look at this sports analogy.
At last year’s British Open, Sergio Garcia vaulted to within one shot of Tiger Woods. On the final day, Sergio was to be Tiger’s playing partner. Sergio had been on top of his game all week, shooting birdie after birdie. He has never won a major golf tournament, but he has been on the cusp of reaching that final stage many times. So on the final day of this illustrious tournament, with the whole world watching, and playing next to one of the greatest golf players of our time, Sergio faultered.
Not only did he faulter, he fell further and further behind.
Nick Faldo, a former British Open champion and commentator, said that in golf as well as in life, people tend to find their level. As uncomfortable as it was watching Sergio Garcia fade away that day, it became a lesson in life.
We too, who are in business, can either find our comfort zone or our championship destiny.
It’s that championship destiny that gives us the edge to excel in what we do.
I have a few more ideas on how to bring out that championship desire in you and your business.
Contact me soon to find out more.
