Two Signs Your Business Needs A Collection Agency
Most businesses are unsure about when to turn an account over to a collection agency. Sometimes it can be tough to know when you should keep pursuing an account on your own, or when you should turn it over.
Here are two signs that you should hire an agency to assist you with collections:
Sign #1. The customer you are trying to collect from has terminated communication with you. If a customer is no longer answering their phone, responding to voice mails, or acknowledging their debt in any way, they most likely have begun acclimating to the idea of not paying you, and it’s time to get an agency to apply more pressure.
Sign #2. You are beginning to lose sleep over the cash flow that you’re missing out on, and your focus is being spread too thin. When your effectiveness at running your business begins to suffer because of collections, you know it’s time to hire an agency for assistance. Your focus belongs on making sales & taking care of your paying customers… not on chasing down problem clients.
