September 2012.  From a low of 718,400 in September 2009, Nashville has gained 36,200 jobs according to CES employment figures.

In early 2012 The Nashville Business Journal reported an analysis of federal data, showing Nashville has added a total 33,900 private-sector jobs in the last 10 years – the 12th highest growth in the country. These new jobs represent a 5.63 percent increase in Nashville’s total jobs, the 24th highest rate in the country.

An April 2012 article by the Nashville Business Journal reports Nashville ranked No. 49 of 337 metros for construction job growth.
